Recipe Corner: Zesty 6 Cheese Quiche

I love this quiche because it is quick and easy.  I serve with Tomato Soup topped with Parmesan Cheese or Croissants.

Prep time: 30 minutes (15 without meat)
Cooking time:  45 minutes

Recipe:

Ingredients:
5 eggs
1/2 cup half and half
2 tablespoons melted butter/margarine
1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese
1/4 cup Garlic and Herb Alouette Cheese
1/4 cup mild cheddar cheese
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
Dash of Parmesan Cheese
2 slices American Cheese broken up into smaller pieces (I use Kraft singles)
1/4 tablespoon salt
1/4 tablespoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon parsley
1 frozen deep dish pie crust (I prefer Marie Callenders)
Meat of your choice.  ( I use 1/2 lb bacon most of the time, but you can use whatever you have on hand.. Canadian Bacon, Regular Bacon, Turkey Bacon , Cubed ham, etc.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Whisk together eggs, melted butter, half and half, and spices (Except parsley).  Add soft cheeses.  Continue whisking.  Pour into unbaked pie shell. Add meat.  Add shredded cheeses and American Cheese.  Push down into mixture.  Top with Parsley.

Bake on cookie sheet in oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.  Reduce heat to 325 and bake an additional 30 minutes. (Crust should be golden as well as the top of quiche).

Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!

( You can always substitute with fat free or low fat cheeses and half & half.  It turns out the same! ;)
